    using 3m tape on ripstop

    i know yall use that 3m double sided tape to make cuben fiber tarps but can i use the same stuff to make a cheaper ripstop tarp and just use the same process as seen in the cuben fiber tarp making video

    I think you'd be better off using tyvek, unless you're going to use silnylon.

    Nothing sticks to Sil. Also the tape is expensive compared to sewing. The Cuben has properties that makes it easy to tape and it adheres well. You will not have such luck with ripstop.

    Yes silnylon is a pain to sew, use lots of pins and look at my post from a couple of days ago on no-sew tie outs...they work great and super easy to do.
