Fleece as a TQ

I tried searching, but didn't really find what I was looking for. I don't really want to buy a lightweight/warm weather sleeping bag AND a winter bag, so I was wondering what the temp rating for a fleece blanket as a top quilt would be? I'm a hot sleeper, and I have a leighlo 20* 2/3 underquilt

ZQ made me a micro fleece TQ but added a Ripstop shell to aid in wind resistance. She sewed in the footbox. It is good down to about 60° for me, but I'm not a warm sleeper. I do use it with my JRB UQ. I switch to my Summer burrow TQ below that down to about 45°.

I've had my diy thin fleece TQ made from a dicks sporting goods $10 fleece sleeping bag, down to 47, but I do sleep with a long sleeve shirt 50 degrees and under. So for me, with a UQ 50 degrees is the lowest comfortable temp to take it to. Its actually rated at 50 as well.

I have used the fleece walmart bag to the mid 60's the zipper makes a good foot box.

I'd say about mid 50's temp wise in the fleece blanket that I have. I am a warm sleeper. 2Q brings up a good point in that the fleece does need some help to block any wind. I found I might have to drape my poncho over me if the wind sneaks under the tarp and it gets to blowing through the blanket.

i have a fleece TQ and UQ that i just acquired this summer. i'm very happy with them.
i haven't been able to test for low temps yet so i cant say, but i'm really looking forward to some 50* nights.
i think with a 3 season UQ the fleece TQ will handle 48 to 52 temps with a pair of long jons?

I bought a Queen/King fleece blanket from WM last year for $10.00. Cut it into 2 pieces and sewed footboxes into both. They are a heavier fleece and 1 and a footboxed sheet and wearing poly pro's went down to 32 dF last fall. Noticed the other day here they had them back in, $5.00 for twins,$10.00 for Q/K. Hard to find that quanity of fabric for that price.

jacksrbetter makes a fleece tq for 29 bucks and they say it will take you down to 55

I'm good with a real thin fleece sleeping bag (more like a sofa lounging bag - bought on clearance from Cabelas), flannel bottoms, and a long sleeve t-shirt down to about 50 as long as no wind. If windy or cooler, I need to use a poncho liner (or both).
