    Original HH

I own one of the (as near as I can tell) original Hennessy Hammocks. It is not an asym, and the fabric is dark blue with a yellow tarp. I have to say that it is the most comfortable hammock that I own. I had an Expedition Asym that I gave away to my nephew, because it wasn't comfortable at all, and I still own a Clark NX-250 and a Warbonnet Blackbird. Nothing has matched the comfort of the original hammock.

I wish HH would still make some with that original design.... I would buy one in a minute because mine is getting to be pretty old now. :-)

I had one and gave it away. The person I gave it to isn't using it and I'm trying to think of a tactful way to ask for it back. That was an unbelievably comfortable hammock!!

I'd just come out and ask for it... or offer to pay a little something for it. They are WAY comfortable!! But, I do know where you're coming from. I had 2 originals, and gave one to a friend... I'd kinda like to get it back, and he probably would give it back if I asked. At least he uses his once every 3 or 4 years... LOL!

got one that I am willing to part with

    ScottH61,

I think I have one of those that I am willing to part with. Let me take some pictures of it and send them to you to make sure it is what you are looking for. Keep your eyes peeled for a PM from me.

I was about to put it up for sale on the forum.....

I still have two originals ... but I do like the Expedition better ... go figure. Especially since I had the 2QZQ Mod4 installed in it. But I know what you mean those first ones were sweet. Just seems like the Exped is a bit more roomy

WARNING: Will discuss Rhurbarb Strawberry Pie and Livermush at random.

Wow! This is impressive, something I have not heard before. All of this sudden praise for the non-asym HHs by folks who have tried all kinds of hammocks!

I wonder why HH changed the original design? Wish I had one to try!

The move to the Asym model gives more effective room in the shoulder and knee areas.

I felt like I didn't have as much room in the expedition... maybe it was a tad wider, but not a lot, and it seemed to be way too short, and not as much headroom as my original... maybe I'm just built wrong... ;-)

One of the originals is on ebay now.
Needs a little repair work done, though.
    And doesn't have a tarp.

I have one of the Snap-On red versions of the original.
    Haven't tried it yet.
