Well, I decided to splurge and get a hight quality space blanket (http://www.rei.com/product/407106?vcat=REI_SEARCH) to add to my hammock insulation during colder months.

The issue I have now is that the blanket is huge. I would like to slice-and-dice it a bit to cut back on some of the weight. However, I would like it to still be large enough to use for wrapping someone in an emergency.

My plan is to use it regularly in my Hennessy SS. I would like to cut it so it fits under the hammock properly, but could still be used in my JRB nest when I use that instead of my SS.

Does anyone have any suggestions, or advice as to size and shape it should be cut so I can maxamize the usage, and minimize the weight? Thanks.

I am considering making it the identical size and A-Sym shape as my HH UL backpacker.
