    Whatever works...

While on active duty in the Navy, I once took a whiz off the sail of a submarine underway on the surface...aiming down wind of course. If I can do that, my WBBB is piece of cake.

One of the biggest perks of having a catheter system is that I don't have to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night, I can wait until morning without issue. in fact, my dad and I joked about it when he was complaining about getting up in the middle of the night twice to go when we were hiking in Shenandoah..

Not so much. This is why I always have a pair of slip-on shoes and a light within reach of my hammock.

Get up, stumble five feet out from the tarp, pee on your friend's tent fly by "accident", and stumble back to bed. Be ready for screaming, angry hiking partners Before Coffee in the morningtime, though...

I either get up and go, or use a bottle in the hammock.

They do make what we referred to as a "Bladder Buddy" - for men. Long-distance truckers sometimes use 'em. It is a "Condom Catheter" system, with a tube running down into a leg bag. The bag has an emptying outlet at the bottom, and several sizes to hold a LOT of liquid are available. Only problem I could envision would be the bag freezing in the winter, and then having a back-flow issue!

I mostly just get up and go. I use a red lamp to preserve night vision and reduce the waking shock, so I can get back to sleep quickly.

I just get up and go.......nice views of the night sky and it feels so good to get back in the hammock.
Don't mind smelling bad in the woods but do not want my sleeping rig to smell like a urinal as I am clumsy when sleepy and comfy.
    That is just my take.
Carry on pee-bottle and catheter gang.

As a woman I don't have all the options some might but I find that if I pee before bed and try to cut the liquids back before bed works best. If I do need to go a nice walk in a beautiful night is usually welcome anyway.

From Dumb and Dumber. "Just let it go man, let it go."

Boots go near my head so no wet feet. Unzip mosquito fly, roll to the side and water the flowers. Last year in the boundary waters I managed to hit the lake. I stepped it off the next morning, 9 feet away. Pretty impressive I thought.

I tried to turn sideways and pee off the side. I pee'd on my bug net.

Oops.... at least I didn't have to get up.
