    Snug as a bug!

Finally cooled down here in KY and I was able to put together the full rig for a night's slumber. Got down to about 55 (or so) with some fairly stiff breezes and a few rain showers thrown in for good measure.

My new KAQ (New River) UQ was amazing! I did have to adjust it a few times when I realized my left shoulder was cold, but I figured out the next morning that I had it drawn up too tight causing it to shift when I rolled over.

I had my Superfly's doors closed and pitched about 18" off the ground to keep out the wind.

I was using my down sleeping bag as a top quilt and wearing shorts/t-shirt. TOO HOT! Didn't need the TQ at all!

I am very impressed with how well the whole system worked! Can't wait to see how low it will really go.

I plan on getting out again tomorrow night!

    Happy Hangin!

    Peter

It was great weather here in the bluegrass this weekend, gonna be a good fall!
.... the Aardvark (earth pig)... a rather unremarkable creature whose sole claim to fame is that it is the first animal listed in the dictionary.

I left my new kak jarbridge uc at home this weekend because I didn't think I'd need it yet. WRONG! I had to lay on a blanket to get rid of the cbs but it worked. The uc will be with me from now on

OK, I didn't have my glasses on "properly" so when I first read the title of this post I saw "SHug as a Bug" & was wondering why anyone would turn Shug into a bug. Add to it that I'm a bit loopy due to my work schedule this month & well, the mental image was pretty bizarre.

ANYWAY, glad you had a good time. Next time I get a long weekend, I'm heading to RRG, haven't been there this year but one time & I'm getting Homesick!

Yea, I'm over "The speed limit" myself, so "I'm Old" is also a good excuse for me.
