    Talking Trail meals (not used!)

Just ordered some meals from Philmont Scout Ranch surplus sales:

    http://philmontscoutranch.org/Resour...railMeals.aspx

While surplus Scout Camp food may not sound all that great, many of the selections include a Mountain House entree and a couple of snacks for $5.50. That's not a bad deal - and it will help the Ranch move their inventory. The commisary manger indicated he didn't think he was going to run out of any selections, so the must have plenty to go around. (The "K" on the order for is for Kosher - not the entire meal, just that item - it was for their internal use.)

Convenience factor is nice too...I'll just have to go the gear room, grab my gear, and a few ready to go meals, and I'm out! No thinking or shopping needed.

(I hope the link works, if not copy and paste should.)

Not sure of the details, but in their surplus gear section they have 12' by 12' Adventure Trail Flys for $30

I'm really glad that these Trail Meals are "not used."

From the link above, click on the RHS "Download 2011 Trail Meals Order Form". That will open a window from which you can choose an Excel Spreadsheet the the Apple Mac equivalent.

In that document are the details of the breakfast, lunch, and dinner menus.

At the bottom of the spreadsheet are tabs for CC Info, Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner Menus.
