Nice trip report Sass.
A mother bear with cubs is more predictable than a group camped under bear cables - good move.
Good report. Glad that you made it through the storms and didn't have to 'tomato.' I don't think I've ever heard of someone setting up camp under the bear cables! Not sure exactly what they might have been thinking. I saw a sow and her two cubs week before last up on Road Prong Trail towards the top. After shooing her cubs up a tree and watching me for a moment, she, too, went back to her digging and paid me no mind. As stated before, bears are perhaps more predictable and dependable than some people.
the lovely lady over your right shoulder reminds me a lot of a past love. very beautiful young woman.
good to see yall had an awesome time. glad no "tomatoes" came your way, and the critters stayed away!

Hello Sassafras! Wonderful to find your posts about our trip here. This has got to be one of my favorite photos. Thanks for the memories!
