Talked to meat processors and two hog farmers and hog prices are through the roof and they suggested a Boston Butt which I will do here at my house on my Big Green Egg.
Oh boy...as much as I'd absolutely love to do this trip; I don't think I'll be able to.
Charcoal would work....we would have to dig a small pit to hold it in ( and that would NOT be a problem.....
As far as the costs, it's not worth going into debt over...I cooked a 20 lb turkey on a spit before, some 8 hours later I was laying in the hammock fat and sassy from the feast....
If you wanna bring a shoulder, or butt, thats cool, I will bring a turkey.....

Yes, it's going to be fun, I plan on hiking alot there are some cool places there to trod. I'm looking forward to seeing everyones hammocks and homemade stuff. Just got another 10 yds of Supplex on ebay for 8.00$ in brown hubby did'nt really want a purple hammock like mine.
Since i'm the new guy , it would be my honor to carry the hog and or turkey. Can't wait to meet everybody. As far as wierdos showing up , to late.

You can put another mark in the new guy/weirdo column for me too! IF I am able to attend this will be my first group hang. Hope to see some of the diy stuff and meet some fellow hangin Hoosiers!
