Cool Cave Run Lake 3xReeves Hammock Hang

Finally got the time together with my 2 kids (Sarah 23 and Daniel 15) for a little family hang at Cave Run, across the lake from Zilpo. Late in the afternoon Friday, so no hike hooked up to it, but we did have a good time, 2nd hight in a hammock for Daniel, and first night for Sarah in the DIY I did for her last week.
Got in a little 2 on 3 tree action for the kids, where they shared the Kelty 12, and I was on the side with my DIY Hex-vek tarp and WUQII PLUQ. Thermometer said it was 57 degree, the WUQII was great, the kids were on the WW pads and bags. Quotes from both the kids..... "You need to make us underquilts, pads suck". Gosh, twist my arm!

They enjoyed the campout, the son is suffering from shoulder squeeze, I am now looking at Bridge Hammock potential... seems like a cure for it. He's 6'1", smaller in shoulders than I, but says he can't get comfortable on the diagonal, so I investigate.

Daughter is really digin the concept, she's typically been ground weenie, but she REALLY liked the open feeling from the trees. That and the fact that she is the only one in her little clique that is now a hanger.

Anyone in the KY area, this spot is absolutely great for the hammockers, many many trees right on the bank!

Sounds like a nice trip. I was across from Twin Knobs on my trip back in August.
