Well T-Back, your perseverance is amazing, considering that back full of metal you are carrying. A person with a perfectly healthy back could have been sent home with the kind of trail injury you describe. Trail injuries are tough on any one, much less those starting with severe back problems. God bless you and I hope your recovery is quick, so that you can get back to your mistress. She is calling your name, eh? LOL!

T-Back, I'm so sorry to hear about your reinjuring your back. Hopefully, all will fall into place and you can be back on the trail somewhere soon. Excellent idea about heading north and starting a SOBO. "The Accidental Thru-hiker". It'd be great if you can make the Hot Springs hang, I'm sure we'd all be happy to see you again. Any way it goes, take it easy my friend. Oh, for the record, I like the Raydar trail name, but you'll always be T-Back to us.

Not intentionally, but I guess it just works out like that. Best of luck and best wishes for a speedy recovery T-Back!

Sorry about your injury T-back. Just glad you were able to make it out OK. The back is definitely not a part of the body to mess with, so you just take it easy and get well soon.

Thanks everyone for the words of encouragement!

    Trailname Sugg:
    ''Brokeback''

An attempt was made to give me this one already by an older lady who had not heard of the movie. I politely declined. "Broken" was another one I was considering as it has multiple meanings to me, both spiritual and physical.

For the record: the last thing I need to do is hop a train. My wife was very quick to point that out. This couple was well versed in this fine art. They even carried a rope with biners to tie themselves on so that they would not fall off if they fell asleep while riding on a ladder.

...and there came to be a day, all too soon, that I became aware that I could travel no more on my long journey. Though I did not arrive where I had planned, I believe that here is exactly where I am supposed to be...

i've been wondering how things were going w/ you bro. sorry to hear about the fall, but glad you are taking time to mend.
and yeah from what i herd about the movie (brokeback mountain) i sure wouldn't want that name<G>.
i think you'll always be T-Back to most of us even if you decide to change the trail name.
hopefully someone will be able to help you w/ a ride so you can make hot springs.
I too will something make and joy in it's making
