    Yet another new guy

Hello everyone! I've been lurking around here for about 2 weeks soaking up all the info I could and decided to finally join. I've always been interested in hammocks, but recently saw an ENO single(?)nest and decided I must have a hammock to lounge about in. Like all my hobbies, I see that this will quickly become involved and much more complicated than just laying about, but that's half the fun. I'm still looking for the right hammock, but I'm leaning towards a singlenest. I'm planning on using it for hanging about during the day and enjoying the upcoming Fall weather. No overnighter's just yet.

Hello and welcome. Many here will recommend getting a Double Nest. You can lie diagonally a little easier and the your back won't catch any seams. I have found the Single Nest comfortable but the seam did hit under my shoulder. Avoid the ENO slap straps (many here will say the same) as they are nylon and they stretch. They also do not allow for fine tuning adjustment. Have fun and good luck with your new hobby!

Bubba - Using a doublenest as a solo, does the extra material have a tendency to flop around? I didn't plan on using the slap straps. I haven't heard much good about them. I planned on using tree straps and a whoopie sling.

    raiff - Thank you.

The extra material can flop a bit. It doesn't bother some people. I actually cut the extra material (the different coloured material) off of my DN so it ended up wider than a SN but narrower than a DN.
