    Backyard hang: live update.

Status update: live from the hammock.

Difficulties faced: foot end too low.

Tactical response: can't be bothered getting up to fix it.

New gear: dad's sea to summit down bag as TQ - WAY too hot!

Old gear: WBBB webbing frayed and needs replacing, which is why the foot end is too low

Conclusion: all secure in sector 8 (is this sector 8?) - pending possum invasion.

Footnotes: will post a pic in the AM.

    Cheers,
    bunaka.

Yeah, isn't NZ overrun with possums or something? That's part of why they are exporting possumdown gloves and such. Too bad that stuff made me itch.

Looking forward to a morning update to see how you slept. With the foot end too low, I find myself scrunched up at the middle of the hammock.

I had to get up and adjust the foot end - was driving me crazy. Now stuck in here with this massive sleeping bag. There's down everywhere man!! Wish the temp would plummet 10 deg., so I could snuggle into the lofty goodness... - lol.

"embedded in his hammock" I like that. I only wish the possums around here would play dead. We have mean ones here that hiss, bare teeth, and sometimes charge.

The reason I was keen to hang here (one reason anyway) was that I hung here once and had the best nap ever!

I am sad to say that last night was not a repeat performance. After a couple of hours I gave up and went inside. I will get my own bag, replace the webbing and try again.

    No possums attacked.

Brilliant post! I am stuck at work late in my 14th straight hour. I needed a good laugh.
