    Great $25 hammocks

I personally just have a $25 Nylon Parachute Hammock that I purchased from a local hardware store. I find it's a great hammock for the price. In fact, my friend who WAS using a rope hammock, has purchased the exact same model, and I purchased a 2nd one for my wife (as well as for use when I take friends out for a first time "experience the hammock" camping trip).

I would highly recommend this hammock to anyone starting out on a budget, for sure.
I don't know that I'd ever "upgrade" as I have a hard time justifying the prices of some of these "superior" hammocks.

here's a link to the hammock I'm referring to:

here's a link to manufacture's website (in case the HomeHardware link wont work in your region)

not a bad looking hammock. i have found that with the cheaper versions of hammocks like the ENO, the fabric is a little thinner and the stitching can be a little less than ideal. but if it works to get you hanging, then by all means.

i can look at a GT hammock in comparison to my ENO and the fabrics are just not the same, and ENOs feel more robust. i like that.

but everyone finds the gear that works for them, and thats what matters.

Manufacturer has a link to a double as well. Sounds like a deal.

the weight capacity is 400lb unless you're asking the weight of the hammock itself.
I'll have to weigh mine on my neighbors scale and get back to you.
