To quote another forum member: It's only an addiction if you're trying to quit

You might be interested in this picture I drew for Cannibal.

I, too, have many-a-hammock and I can't seem to find the desire to give them away. I've purchased several for family and my collection continues to grow. I can outfit my Boy Scout troop in hammocks (we're heading out this weekend for a mountain hang).

I've got three hanging points in my house, including the guest room.

My only comfort is knowing that my wife doesn't read this forum. Yet.

Maybe at that point I can just pare the obsession down to just equipping me and the Mrs.. There's just not too many places to hang at the mall though. (Just kidding, she hates the mall too.)
Retired a few years back, it just gives you more time to obsess. You learn to check all depts in the big box stores, especially if you Diy. First name basis with Dorenda at Hancocks. I had a hammock and a stand. Built a Turtlelady stand and a new hiking hammock. how many hammocks and stands do I have? Wrong! Wife took my old setup now I'm right back where I started, needing more.

Same here... got one, liked it and now its grown to 3 full setups, hammocks, diy suspension, tarps, and all...

On the same note, I think my wife caught a little addiction lately... she's been making stuff sacks for everything she can find. Little ones, big ones, weird ones... I think she's addicted to having gear in sacks.

Fig, I've read your post a couple of times now and I can't figure out what the issue is you are wrestling with there. I'd be concerned if you didn't have more than one.

It's more just a confirmation that I am not going crazy. Sometimes you have to step back and see if you might be losing it.

and if you step back far enough, you'll see where it's at, and it won't be lost anymore!
