Thanks for posting this. I'm rethinking my top quilt now that I can get primaloft loose like down and its cheaper than the sport, a plus for sure.
It will challenge my sewing skills.

Also wondering does loft/temp work the same on the primaloft sport or is it different. I'm trying to figure weight/temp... the loose versus the roll...

i think angersparrow is right when it comes to overstuffing a quilt
if it is done right it's worth it but too much overstuff is a waste
and as AS said you don't gain any more in the rating of the quilt

i always say too much is a bad thing when it comes to overstuffing
It puts the Underquilt on it's hammock ... It does this whenever it gets cold

"For the record":.... a feature of "As it Happens"

    Quoth the Jacks:

The basic performance of the quilts is established by the quilt dimension/design not by the insulation material. We provide a 15-22% overstuff factor in all our quilts. This over stuff compensates for deviations from certified standards and it provides for field variations in humidity from laboratory rating and testing standards. It also reduces down shifting beyond normal expectations. For the record, JRB believes its 15-22% overstuffing provides for consistent field performance.
