Pigeon River Area... Gaylord...
Just talked to the people out at Ludington State Park. They are open for camping in the winter ($16/night). They will have 1 of the Loops in the Cedars campground open. Rustic toliets are all thats will be open.
When I told her that we were a group of hammock campers, she gasped. "Hammock camping in the winter?"
So LSP is a possible destionation for the Winter Hang.
Ludington would be a pretty place to be. The crowds will be gone. I like that idea.

Any ideas for dates of this excursion? I don't care where it is, I just have to know when!

If it is like last year, sometime in FEB.
I would love to join this trip, but it would be tough. Have plans to do our annual snowshoe trip to the Porkies in January (cabins ). I would really like to check out Ludington and the Nordhouse area. We'll have to see
