    Smurfy Bug sock

Just ordered a bug sock from papa smurf as suggested by you HF members out there. The transaction so far has been an enjoyable experience. He has helped me out with sizing details and is even throwing a small mod (i asked for some tie-out points) for no extra charge.

I will report back most likely with more good news about this bug net and how it works with my setup.

Ty papa smurf. If you have not checked out his DIH (Did it himself) gear go look.....NOw!!

+1 bug sock from papa smurf

Love mine. So light, so useful. I dont even use my hammocks with built-in bug nets any more. You'll like it. Takes a little getting used to, but worth it if you need protection or just want to lighten your pack.

I'm curious about the differences between Tulle and Noseeum. Anybody got general information?

Tulle won't block bugs much smaller than skeeters. Noseeum handles almost anything.

That said, Tulle is lighter and more delicate. Cheaper too.

So if gnats are going to be an issue I would probably want to forgo the Tulle?

Here is a photo of the 2 materials side by side.
The Tulle on the right side has approx 440 holes per inch.
The Noseeum is on the left and has more than I care to count.
