I got mine today. I am very impressed! You guys do some really nice work! I love the "Cattail Brown" color. It looks brown when I'm looking at in the house. But, when I put it up it really has a nice Olive color to it. Either Way I'm Really Happy!!! Thanks Pan and Smee!!!!

There is a clear difference between the cat tail brown and the moss green.... to view the difference..... scroll down to the tent shot at the 11x10 Cat tarp page at JRB...

What you see is a demo model made with both colors in good sun light.... Sun light will make any silnyl color apear fairly translucent, except some blacks.

I still like the two-tone version! Too bad it is not in production......

When I seen how bright the "Moss Green" version was...I had to go with the "Cat Tail Brown" color. It'll make one heck of a stelth tarp. I could "Brush It In" like I do my pop up blind for deer season and it'll compleley disappear I bet.

Still not as bright as the old 8x8 green, that was bright!

Compared to my old JRB 8x8 the Moss Green looks extremely muted.

Now that was impressive. I ordered 5 PM Jacks time on Fri, and it arrived this (Wed) AM!

Now, to see if I can make it work with that long Claytor hammock!

Well, I don't see any problems with covering the Claytor No Net even without a structural RL. This is the best coverage I have had so far, even better than my HH Sil Hex with the 12 foot ridge line, and MUCH more coverage than my MacCat Deluxe. Of course, it weighs several ounces more than the MC, but an ounce or 2 less than the HH Sil Hex. The rectangular cut, just as I had figured, seems to be providing much of the improved coverage.

The cat cuts seem to be very minimal ( by design I guess). It seemed to pitch pretty tight though, tighter than most. But I don't think it pitches as tight as my MC Deluxe. Maybe the Hex cut and only two guy out points per side also helps a taught pitch. Has any body had one in any wind?

How would you do it if you wanted to close the ends a bit, winter style, hung with an 11 foot ridge? Would you add a grip clip between the middle and end tie out loops, and angle it inward and stake it? would that work? Or is this not meant to have the ends closed unless you hang on the 10 foot ridge?

Now I have to get out there tomorrow and seam seal it.

In testing, I hung it on the 11 ft ridge line and used a bit of cord to tie in the two extra tieouts to make "beaks" on the ends. It seemed like it would have kept out a lot of extra weather.

My first night with it was in some high winds and some rain...again...I was Bone Dry the next morning...I have since bought some of the nice "Tri side" stakes...one of mine turned from the wind or pulled out...either way...I had a little flop/strech the next morning...but not enough to be concerned with.
