    carbiner strength foe SRL

I just added a 7/64th amsteel whoopie sling structural ridgeline.
I made it adjustable just to play w RL length.
I also just bought a sleeping bag with two side zipper.
I can attach bag as a peapod, but the ridgelind is in the way
The RL is attached to my whoopie suspension w a larkshead.
To attach peapod quickly, I need to unattach one end of the RL briefly.

Question: what strength does my carabiner need to be if I add one to the RL?

A Dutch Biner should do the job just fine.

However, if you consider leaving the peapod on your hammock for a while, then you could detach your ridgeline, install your peapod, then reattach your ridgeline. Then to prevent doing that routine all the time, just pack you hammock and people together in the same stuff sack.

    Cheers

How big does the stuff sack need to be? I guess it would depend on the number of people, wouldn't it?

    Brian,
That is exactly what I did last night, but I am in experimenting mode so I want to take it on and off quickly.
I think a carabiner is the easiest short term solution, but I dont want the carabiner to break.

Apparently, I should really be more careful of my wording in a sleepy state.

    Cheers
