...using the washing machine to dye mule tape black.
...running a load of whites after you have used the washing machine to dye mule tape black.
...joking about using the bathtub to dye mule tape black.
...actually using the bathtub for aforementioned purpose the next day.

...disappearing into the garage for "hours on end" to make hammocks or tarps or alcohol stoves or modified Wally-world blue ccf pads or hammock stands or bushbuddy stoves or whoopie slings or tarp tie-outs and etc.
...disappearing into the backyard for "hours on end" everytime the weather is nice for the sole purpose of setting up gear and tweaking the setup.
...disappearing into the backyard for "hours on end" eveytime the weather is bad for the sole purpose of setting up gear in windy/rainy/lightning-y/hail-y/dark-y conditions.
...not putting the children to bed because you are too busy posting on hammock forums.
...posting about not putting the children to bed after the third "suggestion" that you should be putting the children to bed.
...not putting the children to bed immediately after the Missus goes to the kitchen to grab a meat cleaver so that she can, one last time, "discuss" putting the children to bed...

Oops! The cleaver means the Missus means business. See you in the undiscovere'd country.
    Thats Funny!

    sounds perfectly normal to me

ldcakes, ShadowAlpha--you're awesome. The world needs more gear junkies without Y chromasomes. Convert all your female friends (but first make friends with my Missus ).
You're gonna need a bigger hammock

Thats why whenever I need a major item (UQ ect), I get one for her too and tell her its to make sure she is comfortable when we go camping. If she complains I mention to her how on our last outing she said she wished she had XYZ ect. Makes her think I was actually paying attention to what she said.

Years ago I use to belong to a cycling club and every Sunday we had a club ride. One day my wife mentioned in passing that she wished we had a tandem bike so she could ride with me. A week later she realized what she said and told me that she didn't really want a tandem bike. I told her she was too late, that I had already ordered the bike ( a Burly Bosa Nova road tandem ) and it was due in any day. We put many a mile on that bike before back problems made her stop riding.
I am still 18 but with 52 years of experience !

You know what if your gonna act that way then I will not order the new sleeping bag I picked out for you then.
This has the potential to work, but when you say it, the new bag should be on the way or already there to show her.

    I'm with Idcakes though.

I think in the least, she deserves a nice new sleeping bag. Upgraded.

If I don't mention it and I get caught--trouble; if I do mention it, she says no, I do it anyway and get caught... I think they say "it's easier to ask for forgiveness than to drive yourself to the emergency room with a concussion, a contusion or two, and multiple lacerations." or something like that.

LMAO...wow are we ALL married to the same woman?
