    That was not my intention! I probably would have preferred a non-boxed version as well If it wouldn't have looked anomalous with small boxes at the edge and a big-boxed area in the middle (had to fixate the fleece and didn't want to put in too much -- weight-issue). So, now the boxes all are "overstuffed" since the shell doesn't allow alot of loft coming up. I hope to have a better shape ready for better loft when making my final beanie out of Pertex Quantum.

    I got asked how the "baffles" are filled. Now to mention first, these are no sewn chambers (through adding material between the two layers), thus no real baffles. To do it the easy way you only have to get the vertical chambers sewn-through (columns), the beanie put together and then stuffed. After closing everything down (with down -- muhahahaa ) I added the horizontal stitches to create the boxes.

    I'm working on a second, a little different one with more space to loft. I hope to get it documented much better.

    You're flattering . I'd do it if I had some nice black down proof DWR coated ripstop... 7D comes into my mind.
