In honor of having chased a bear out of our camp.
CrackedUp has been given the trail name:
"BearChaser" or B.C. for short.

As I told Paul. My old trail name was a good while back, with old friends, and as any of you know that asked how I got it. It was a round about way, kinda formulated to be somewhat politically correct I guess. That was when I was a ground dweller, after that I kinda got out of it and sold most of my stuff. Then after discovering hammocks by accident wanting to get back into backpacking, I started back up. Then I found this great place, and made some great new friends. What better way to re-start my backpacking than with new friends and a new Name. Couldn't have received it from a better person.

Thanks Oh-No for the new name, and very nice pics.

Edit: Did you notice in photo 20, Knotty is standing up on the bank. Makes WV look vertically challenged.

I just thought it made Knotty look unnaturally tall.

This hike produced three new trail names; BearChaser, Fire-Fly and Pioneer Woman. I think that's pretty cool and an indication of the camaraderie that developed among us.

I'm tempted to bring a flask next time so I can have whisky with a bearchaser. (That would be a "Backwoods Boilermaker".)
