Since my planned hike this weekend didn't wind up working out, I'm working on planning a "replacement" hike. I need to close up the section between Carver's Gap and Erwin, so planning on heading out from Carver's on Friday, 30 September and arriving in Erwin on Sunday, 2 October. Distance on this is a little less than 35 miles. Elevation profile can be found here. Anyone interested in joining me?

Where will you bail in Erwin? Indian Grave gap or down at Uncle Johnny's on the River? I was born and raised in Erwin and have hiked that section many times..

Would really love to join you on this section but I will be in Arcadia NP. I left off at Erwin this summer. Have a great hike. I'm going to join you on a hike hopefully before the JMT.

When were you thinking of starting on Friday?
Not positive yet, but fairly early, maybe around 8 or 9 if I can.

I was trying to see if I could break off from work and pull it off; however an early Friday departure would make it a bit more challenging.
