We are going to have an informal hang... just get together, short hike out to the camp site, relax, side hikes/kayaking/fishing/swimming as you see fit, and back out again. It will be primitive camping with no water (other than the creek) or porta-johns. There is no vehicular access but it is only about a 30 minute hike to the site.

We leave the trailhead at 11 a.m. on Friday 11/11/11 (thus the 11 hang name) and won't wait for stragglers. The plan is to get there Friday around noon (since it is a short hike) and then return around noon on Sunday.

The location will be the Arbuckle Tract of the Lake Wales Ridge State forest in central Florida. If you do a Google Earth search for directions to "Rucks Dairy Rd, Frostproof FL" then it will take you right to the trailhead area. More information on my post for a central FL hang from a few days ago and pictures in a photo album on my profile.

Come one, come all, but we won't wait for you

Details to come later...
