Live here in central Minnesota, I'm a 3 season camper (April to October), so I'm dealing with temps from 20 to 100 seppo. No real desire to hit the cold part of our lovely winters.

Trying to fiqure what type of rig I want, looking at the Henneseys or the Warbonnets. I know that each of these brands has a cult like following, but what I really need to know is which one is most suitable for a side or partial side sleeper? I go around a duece and a quarter and stand around 5'10".

Hoping that Shug will invite me over to check out all of the options and to try out a rig or two (hint, hint, wink, wink)

    What mad777 and olddog said!

ANother saying I picked up on HF is that sleeping in a tent is as high-tec as a homeless guy in a cardboard box.

Took me until 60 to climb into the trees full time.

    Welcome from Alabama, fly-chucker.

I am also a newbie at hanging- I have a HH UL Backpacker model and I have slept in it one night in my backyard and it was great (except for the noise of distant trains and neighborhood dogs barking at each other). I'm a side-sleeper too, and the only thing I will do differently next time is bring a pillow. Going to be packing it out on the trail next weekend to see how it does in the wilderness

Welcome, Fly-Chucker. I'm heading to the Grayson Highlands Hang tomorrow so that I can meet some other folks and try out different kits. Is there a group hang near you in the near future? It would be a great way to experiment. Of course, if Shug decided to have you over, you would have an experience that would leave a great impression. Good luck in finding the hammock that fits.
