I looked at Amsteel specs. If I replaced the tree huggers with Amsteel, 1 figure at least 1/2 inch to keep from damaging the tree, it would weigh 1.024 oz a foot That looks to be about the same as the current tree huggers. I did not weigh them separate but they weighed about 4 oz for two at 6 foot lengths. It looks like the Amsteel at this size would weigh more. Size would be needed for tree protection not strength.

Here is his new hammock and thanks to him and his Mrs. my early Christmas present-my hope is that this lightweight (less than 6 ounces minus the tree huggers and whoopies) does not drop me like the Nano-7 did!

Rook, on the Neutron 5? Sorry, all the info is in my youtube vids spread across a couple of hikes and bike camping trips...boiled down the momentum 90 has held me for 7 nights without any visual (and after the nano-7 dropped me I do look the hammocks over before taking them out for fizzurs/tears/etc).
I just ordered a double Neutron from him that will hopefully save some precious ounces over my beloved double Traveler....
