    Best knot for hammock end?

Whats the best knot to use with amsteel for a gathered end hammock when threading the amsteel through the channels? I'll clip a caribiner into this amsteel once finished to attach to suspension.

I'm leaning towards a bowline knot with a backup knot? Seems to hold well on amsteel

I would suggest one of 2 ways.
    1. Make a continuous loop and larkshead the loop through the channel.
    2. Make eyes on each end and larkshead one end through the channel.

If you don't want to get into splicing, use a triple fisherman's bend to form your loop. Burying the tag ends will provide additional security, and tidy things up. Looks kinda cool, actually.

I use this knot for everything, prusik loops, loops of shock cord on my guy lines etc... Its a solid knot, for light weight stuff you can get away with the double, but the triple is much stronger, less likely to slip under load.

The above doesn't show the tag ends burried, but you can figure that part out easily.

Don't tie it like this guy, he's doing it wrong... You'll notice he's not going Over his previous line and loops, he's going ahead of them, this is wrong.

I use 500lb test parachute cable and taughtline hitch to tie my ends up. Not all parachute cord is created equal though, I have definitely gotten some bad batches. But I agree a picture might give us a better idea of how to help you!
