Seems to me like a larger contingent of folks are leaning toward later in October to make scheduling work. I am fine with that as well. I originally would have settled on October 7, but maybe the weekend of the 22nd works better for more of us? Mojoe: how is your later October shaping up? Doody: I would even consider 2 trips if it works. The more, the merrier in my book, though. Maybe the 22nd is too close to the northern hang that has been mentioned. Just sharing my thoughts, mostly. Thanks again for everyone that is considering the idea. I look forward to meeting with all of you eventually!

I'm open for late October too. Though I'll probably go somewhere the 7th and 8th since I'm off that Friday. YRSF is only 2 hours drive from me here in Osage, so it's an easy and cheap trip no matter when.

Another vote for late oct. or nov.
This would be my first hang, I'm anxious to pick up on some much needed advice. Just picked up a AHE Potomac here on the forum.

my wife is good sport, but I will be on the northern hang Oct 14-16, having been in Minnesota that previous week, then I am driving around Wisconsin on business the week after. I can imagine what she will say if I tell her I am stopping at the Iowa hang Oct 21-23 on my way home.

so I would vote for first week of November...

I'm in the same boat as you. It's hard to explain to the lady that I am going camping two weekends in a row. She'll try and get me to do a bunch of chores or something. But, if I stretch it out a tad bit then it's more likely going to happen. Plus, it would be a little colder too!

Sorry I have been so quiet on the subject. I had to work all weekend and didn't get my official Oct. schedule until today. Sounds like more people would be able to come if we planned for November and the more the merrier. I'm leaning towards Nov.11-13th, a veteran's day hang. I could also swing the 4-6th if there is more interest. How does that sound?

Nov 11-13 works for me too. I'm easy. I always take Veteran's Day off.

I'm game for Friday 7/8th, or 8/9th, but after that I'm committed to helping with a remodeling project, and it looks like that's a promise that can't be ignored.
