Is it just square and able to be tied up? Looks great!
It's a 72" x 48" rectangle with a shock cord synch to wrap up the foot end. I added some loops and ties to secure the footbox area.Originally Posted by JBRanger

I'd hope to handle 20's with this setup and my 300 weight fleece sleep gear, wool socks, and a wool hat.

That is a fine looking quilt you have there.
I'm not sure if it's the exact same material or not, but the climashield I got about 5 years ago for a BSA project was rated at 20 degrees with two layers. Mine was shaped more like a Ray Jardine style quilt and a little shorter so it comes in right at 16 oz. not including a silnylon stuff sack. I have never been cold in it yet, however when I winter hike I bring along a liner and underquilts that my buddies refer to as "diapers".

And is that a single layer of Climashield, or did you double it? Did you quilt through the middle, or is it sewn only at the edges?
Looks like the same thing I want to make....
Single layer of the 5oz/sqyd. The insulation is only through sewn at the head and foot area. Kinda makes a poof ball when stuffing it, but I didn't want to over engineer the thing.
When i pair it with my underquilt, some fleece clothing, socks, hat, etc that I should be comfortable in the lower 30's.
