I took a nice fall at the bottom of UWF about three years ago scrambling over the rocks to get to the bridge. Sprained my knee pretty bad and was in a knee immobilizer for two weeks. Do you still have to scramble over the rocks or did the extend the bridge. It kinda seemed to me that part of it had washed out

Very nice scenery. As Shug said - quite a few bridges in that area!

Yeah lot of bridges on this section and a lot blowdown to get around. Judging from spider webs that I kept walking into not traveled in a while. Also some big old pines, some of them 15 ft. around or more.

That first bridge is still a scramble. There were a lot of steep ascents and descents on this trail. Very few switchbacks just straight up and down on steps.

Yeah a lot of creeks and rivers flowing in the area.

I took that hike last year. LOTS of steps straight up and down. Tough hike. Great pics thanks!

If those stairs after Toxaway river were any steeper they would be ladders
