I'm not worried about the weight of additional stakes (I've been known to have 1 or 2 extra) but with the economy of action and the simplicity of adjustment. Hey Backtrack, no hard feelings but bladder hydration systems and New Hampshire winters don't mix.

    Thanks for all the input
I can see where that would be a problem! I hope you find the tarp that will work for you well and happy hanging!

Get the titanium stakes and you are only carrying 3-4 oz...even if I use gutter nails,,,for 2 tarps..one for me and one for the wife,,7.8 oz of aluminum..big deal,,and for a 4 day pack in,,I carry 30 lbs, the wife gets away with 20 at the most. and I can lighten that up a couple of pounds each if we don't want to carry the crazy creek seats...but I like my comfort and a few toys to go with me. not a gram weinie at 61 yrs of age,

I'm still in the air. Marty is sending me color samples. I'm looking for a stealthy tarp. Think I'll stay with the 3 tieouts per side.

Flatline let me know if you plan to sell your superfly--if I spend less on my tarp by getting it used, I can spend more somewhere else.

    Thanks all

Oldman winter tarp just handled more than 40mph all nite long, staked down and doors all but totally closed and was post toasty in it in blowing mist, light rain, drizzle, light snow,,and thin ice next morning on it. I love it.
