For clarification for folks: this tarp became known as the WinterPalace. I sold my original to fund another, more to my specs. FANTASTIC tarp.

Great video, Water Monkey. But I'm a bit confused at this point: is the Winter Palace--your tarp--the same as the one featured in this thread? If not, can you or Ironman see what are the differences?

Attached are a couple illustrations as I understand the dimensions. If you send me a tarp I'll add more details.

The winter palace is the wider version of stormcrow's 3 season tarp. Both iron man and mine are the same dimensions.

You can get a large and light tarp. Viva Cuben fiber. pun intended.

Regarding the price and dimensions of the tarp.... It is only possible to get 54 inches (137cm) consistently from a roll of CF3 material. That is the nature of the beast. Approximately 1inch (2.54cm) is used for each of the three seams. Approximately .75 inches (1.9cm) is used for the rolled hem around the perimeter. The extra width is gained by using 2 quarter strips of CF3 material that are 54/4 wide (13.5 inches or 34.3cm) and 13 feet (156 inches or 396.25cm) long. Also there is a 3 inch catenary cut along the length of the ridgeline. So what do all of these dimensions add up to?

    Width: ~10'6" (126 inches or 320 cm)
Length (corner to corner): ~13' (156 inches or 396.25 cm)
Length (ridgeline): ~11' (132 inches or 330.2 cm)

There are 5 tie outs on each side spaced evenly every 39 inches (99 cm) starting and ending with the corners.

the 4 panel tie outs are approximately 2 feet (24 inches or 61 cm) down from the ridgeline and 4 feet (48 in or 122 cm) between each other.

All of the tie outs are reinforced, bonded, and/or sewn. The tie outs will basically take just about anything short of tripping over them on your way to recycle water in the middle of the night. ...

This tarp, along with all of our CF3 tarps uses .52 oz/square yd (CT1K.08) olive green material. We generally keep this material in stock but i am happy to make a tarp out of a different color or heavier grade material if someone wants it. Also, there is a little more wait for this this one. Please allow a 4-5 weeks for delivery. Sorry.

"ok, but how much does it cost already??!" Alright, alright, simmer down.

Currently we are charging $369 for this tarp. I know, ouch Also, I am only offering it for a limited time due to the time and care it takes to make it. I will probably not even put it up on the website for now. If anyone IS interested in getting one or has any questions, shoot me an email.

P.S. If anyone has time to decipher the above dimensions and post it in a nicely drawn format that can be inserted into this thread so that people can get a visual of the tarp, well, that would be pretty cool...
