Wow! That is amazing! Thank you for the pictures because I would never see from the perspective otherwise.
In true Ewok style. That's too cool!
You should look into taking a trip to California to hang in a 370 ft. Redwood!
to high for me,but very cool just the same
this reminded me of the article I read a while back...

Haha, ya what Fronkey said. I try to hang the hammock next to a big branch that I can stand on just to make life in the canopy a bit easier. When that isn't possible you have to glide yourself on the ridgeline from one of the trees. But like Fronkey said, getting your sleeping bag and pad into the hammock is a lot more stressful because one little slip means you have to rappel down to the ground and then climb all the way back up.
We need to have a Minnesota crazy tree group hang. I plan on trying this again on Weds night too. We aren't supposed to get any rain and I really don't want to have to worry about using a tarp. I'll video tape it and let you know if I find out any knew tricks to it. You're doing great with your new adventures in hammocking dude!

Lebanon is my stomping grounds. I do day hikes there 5-6 times a week with my pup Kiba.
When I did my tree hang, I literally went up with a buttload of paracord and tied myself in. I was only 30 ft up. But, I am totally up for trying it with some proper gear. I have extra underquilts, tarps etc if you don't have any for your hammock yet.
You should try and make it to the Northern Hang . Should be a great time.
