    Manistee River Sept. 2011

Just a short film from a paddle on the Manistee R. over Labor Day weekend.
Weather was a little hit and miss with rain etc. but over all was nice. I don't think it ever rained on us while we were paddling and would usually hit us after we had camp set up, so not a real issue.
I hope to get up there one more time this year, its just such a beautiful, relaxing river, we really enjoyed ourselves.
    Thanks for watching.

    Good luck,

Looks like a great time on the water and good practice for the BWCA. Great stuff as always.

Thanx Fronkey. Good times for sure. The great thing about river travel is no portages! Its definitely camping in comfort along the Manistee.

Thank you cevans, the Manistee is great. Wish I knew how to fly fish, it sounds like fun. Maybe someday I'll go the Tenkara route and give that a go.

Just barely starting to turn, a few spots here and there. I expect them to really starting going this week.

Great trip. I love that area. Looks like a good time was had.

I plan on being out this weekend too only problem is I can't start until friday afternoon. I was thinking MRT start at the waterfall friday night. Then hike the nct back to the red bridge by Sunday afternoon. Only problem is i need to talk some one into shuttling.... if there was a trip maybe i could sneek in some how.

And i think Wildcrafter is planning a trip there the weekend of the 7th.
