    Arizona Fall Hang

I figured we should start a thread to plan a fall hang. I think it was Te-wa mentioned October was good for him. Looking at my calendar I think October will be fine for me too. I don't care where we go but someone mentioned the rim...any other ideas?

My October weekends look pretty good. I have one Boy Scout trip planned I believe the 14-15. I'd love to get on the Rim!

I'm hitting the rim for 2 nights this weekend with a buddy(ground dweller) for some fly fishing. We were up there during labor day and it was nice, should be a little cooler this weekend too, maybe some rain. I will take some photos of spaces I see that look "good to me" for a group... post when I get back.

October sounds good. Rim Sounds good, its kind of central for a lot of us, maybe not so much for those guys from Tucson, but they are used to it.. lol

I'd prefer not to have to hike like crazy to get to camp, but a little hike wouldn't kill me.

There are a LOT of trees and space off FSR512 (Young Highway). Mostly park and camp, lots of big spaces, pit facilities etc... For those that fish, there is excellent fishing nearby.

Some other options are the turnoff to Bear Flats. Lots of larger spaces with trees, undeveloped campsites etc. There are some nice spots up above Lake Mary in Flagstaff too, right on the edge of the rim. Facilities and town close by for needs etc..

Whatever works for me, lets get some dates worked out!

I hope to attend this one, but I am trying to beat the snow to some segments of the Arizona Trail and my wife does not think a hang is what she wants to do on her birthday later in the month.

Any new info on when & where this might go down (or in our case up )? I might be interested.

I'm half way thru some mods on a GG tarp to use with my new BMBH, should be done by tomorrow. Excited to try the new set up. A Group hang sounds better than a solo.
The older I get the better I used to be. Superhero status is near.
