No Facebook!? It's shameful

No worries. I was once anti-Facebook (not that you are, but I was) until my current job forced me into it

So, if you _don't_ have Facebook, posting on this thread will work too. Same rules apply: throw your name into the hat; add a photo of an "ultimate hang" to get in twice!

I don't want to penalize non-Facebook users, but as this was a Facebook promo, I will give an extra entry for Facebook "Likes" -- in other words, you can get your name in the hat three (3) times for posting on Facebook with a picture (if you've posted on Facebook, you don't need to post on this thread).

I hope that is as clear as mud!

Oh, and if you post or link to a photo on this thread, let me know if you'll let me cross-post the picture on the Ultimate Hang photo gallery. I'd love to let the curious see real-life examples of how cool hammock camping is.

The book will be available in November. Purchasing information will be posted as I move forward with the publisher.

The book is currently in the final stages of being peer-reviewed as part of the final editing process. All the artwork has been digitally scanned and the final layout has been completed so it's just a matter of time to finalize any last-minute editing, fact checking, and minor errors that may crop up prior to publishing.

I would like to be in the drawing, but I am another person who does not have a facebook account. I don't even know how to look at facebook.

Very exciting times with a new hammock camping book coming out! I'm holding out hope that Volume II will be a book on hammocks around the home for those of us that are lazy full-time.

I see that I was a little prematuer with my post...My ultimate hang photo shows my rig in Wabakimi Provincial Park. I could simply reach down from the hammock and eat fresh blueberries all night and for a delightful beginning to my breakfast!

I just posted your facebook hammock book page to the hammock forums group page on there.

I think this is such an awesome idea and will probably buy a few copies to send to friends for Christmas. The illustrations are going to be a huge help for them to understand hammocking a little better. Thanks so much for making this, I'm stoked.
