    First Hammock

Pic of my first hammock. Gathered end, DL. 130" 108" Ridgeline, Strap suspension.

Any suggestions or tips are welcome!

There are very few problems we can solve ourselves, but there is almost nothing we cannot solve together.

Most often when someone says they can't, they are unwilling to try.

    Nice looking rig there.

Shh...don't look now, but there seems to be a space ship looking thing behind your hammock there. Best to watch out for weird moaning creatures in the woods, I hear they are most vocal in the mornings.

Not sure what's happening with it. Check Catavarie's reply, the pix showed there

Looks great and it even matches your tent!

Is the black section of material some type of footbox or something else?

Knotty I was wondering the same thing, but it looks like one of the layers of the DL?

Knotty, thanks for your posts. They really helped with layout and construction!

I didn't plan on matching the tent, it just happened that way. The black section is a footbox. I ran out of the blue.
