Over the past couple years they have shown up in late Feb -early March. I grabbed one last March and modified it for hammock use. Definitely not UL, but a nice tarp for the $$.

I bought mine to mod into a winter tarp but I found too useful as a kitchen tarp for paddle camping. With 17 tie out points it can be put into almost any configuration to fit the site or conditions. Unfortuneatly for us hammock campers it doesnit have center tie outs for hanging itin an a-frame mode .
Just called them and they said it was discontinued. Too bad. Good size and price. Money is tight, so making a tyvek tarp would be the next best thing, unless there is another great deal on a tarp. If I make one, what is the best tarp design for 3+ season for a HH Expedition.?
You are right. I just searched their website and the tarps do not show up. Too bad, because for the money they were a great deal.
they always say its discontinued or something close to it. but they normally come back in around march or so. but who knows. maybe they actually stopped this time
Dale Gribble: I'm thinking, "new hammock." For me, laying and swaying in a hammock is like a steady morphine drip without the risk of renal failure.
Randy : yea but just remember yer roots and where ya come from....you got Hennessy in yer blood son......
Years ago, the 9 foot camo tarp (frequently called "Neo's Tarp" then) was discontinued and never came back. IIRC it was listed as "out of stock" for a long time.

I called both Sportsman Guide and Bargain Outfitters. Sportsmans Guide said that they weren't getting any more in. Bargain Outfitters said to check back in 30 days (as for any out of stock product, not just this particular). Basically we can only hope that it will come back!
