I agree. I can generally deal with a little cold better than extreme heat.

    PLUS ONE.
You can always put something on to get warm..BUT when you are laying in your hammock in your undies (optional) and still sweating there is not much you can do. Especially when there is no breeze

The a/c is going out at the house so I am hoping the warm weather is gone for the year. Maybe I can get it fixed when it is off season and maybe save some money.

Yeah, finally getting down into the 60's at night here.
Most of us end up poorer here but richer for being here. Olddog, Fulltime hammocker, 365 nights a year.

+1 on no bugs! Last couple of backyard hangs and an overnighter up to the N. Ga mountains have been bugnet-less...a very nice change...

I couldn't agree more! Besides, how else am I going to put that new Winter Crow's Nest (refuse to call it a Phoenix, sorry) through its paces? I'm ready for some COLD hammocking this year!

    Bring your summer here then!
This Minnesota transplant from Florida is terrified of the winter weather to come. Last year kicked my butt and I've spent months in Alaska and even been to Antarctica. Mn was colder. I sure will miss working up a good sweat and jumping in the nearest body of water to cool off. If I try that in a few months, I will probably get a concussion from hitting the ice.
But, I've been rounded up some snow gear and ready to try some winter camping.
