    Ring for Truckers Hitch

I want to add a ring to my truckers hitch instead of making a loop in the line. I want something like in the truckers hitch suspension sticky. I went to the Back Packer and to Half Moon Outfitters. They had very very little in the way of climibing gear. They had descender rings, but they werent rings they were complex figure 8s. Any ideas on where I can buy a ring that will hold my weight? Hardware store?
    Thanks

Tractor Supply was where I found the ones I used.

REI, or EMS will both be likely to carry them. Also working safety supply place will have steel ones, Heavier, but still strong.

Most hardware stores carry an assortment of different size steel rings and should have one that is big and strong enough but not too big and heavy.

What's the loading that you're expecting on the TH? If it's less than life-bearing, it might be worth it to just larkshead a trail twig into the line and then run the line around the support and over the knot to create a mechanical advantage.

We used to do this in JROTC in high school with a metal toggle for single-line rope bridge competitions. However, for life-bearing operations, I don't recommend a trail twig.

Two thoughts: Cheap, welded steel rings are not something to use to hang off of. Use climbing rated descender rings.

Amsteel is slick stuff as is. Running it through a ring may reduce the holding power of the hitch.

used welded steel and/or brass rings for boat tie down ropes. Clove hitch the rings in place. For a hammock the only ring I would trust is a climbing rated descender ring.

I'm an idiot. I started my search at a backpacking store bc I wanted climbing gear quality. But there is no need. This is for my tarp RL. It is not for my hammock suspension. Thanks for the advice anyway.
