i could but where i live the reality of it is that i will always need the net and using a seperate one is just another piece of gear ill have to cary and have to worry about it sliding. i just thank that a hammock with a build in one will work better/easier for me and my situation. with that being said i could probably install a net on a regular hammock but if i go that far i might as well do the diy just thinking out loud lol
then see if warbonnet can make you a triple layer one, ive seen one else made. i know it doesnt solve youre not wanting to pay for one, but still it can be done. im going to email marty about making a nightowl with a net at some point.

well its not that i dont want to pay for one i just want to know what im getting before i buy it think of it like buying a new vehicle without test driving it. you may find that you hit your head on the ceiling the first time you get in lol or in my case the seat dont slide back far enough and if i was getting a lightweight hammock like the normal wbbb or hh expeditions i wouldnt worry because i could just simply resell it on here for 95% what i paid for it but with a heavyweight hammock not many people will want it these are just worries that are running through my mind is all "maybe im just overthinking everything" but thanks for the ideas. a 3 layer lol that would be something to see lol
Yea, I knew what you meant. I think the guy that had the triple layer did sell it here, but I understand the concern.

yea i just read that hh is selling clasic safari for 49 bucks without the bug net or the net is dammaged its to late to call them now but will be in the morning lol this might just be cheap enough to make me pull the trigger lol
yea unfortunatly the sale at HH takes 2-4 weeks for delievery and my last trip "hopefully not but prabably" for the year is on the 13 so it is out of the question and by next year ill be able to get something on a less time crunch im still interested to check out a HH safari or any other that will hold a larger guy "ive already got a GT skeeter beater pro. thanks for all your help

I'm 307 lbs- and the Switchback has been a godsend for me. More room for my shoulders....more options of how to position myself... and a build quality that is just off the chart. Highly encourage you- from one big guy to another- to check out this hammock. It'll easily hold your weight with no fear of failing- while a lot of the popular stuff that's out there- while truly great product- was designed with weight saving and the ultralight hiking crowd in mind. While the ultralight stuff may support someone our size, I gotta believe that over time we're going to wear it out fairly quickly. Doubling a very light weight fabric may increase the weight rating, but the durability will suffer.
It think the Switchback is the hammock for you. It has the best view of any I've tried. I has a superior bug net. It's easy to get out on either side. It's a robust hammock, get the 1.9 double layer.
I have a Warbonnet Blackbird and it is hard to see anything outside from within that hammock.
