    I have moved...

I am no longer in Missouri. I got a new job with a bank out in Utah. Not as many trees out here, but its still winter. There are plenty of trees in the Mountains.
I think I need to have my location updated on the google map.
Any one else on the boards in Utah???

I grew up in Utah. I'm guessing you're on the wasatch front. There are lots of places to hike and camp there, but even more if you head out to some of the more rural places. I grew up in Manti, two hours south of SLC, and there are miles and miles of wilderness. But, you're right, most of the stuff in the higher elevations isn't reallly accessible until later on in the year. hope you have an enjoyable experience there.

Oh boy, are you in an outdoor paradise now! I lived two years in Layton, and visit occasionally. And if you are a skier, wow!. And before I ever lived there, my favorite Mountains are about 4 hours from SLC: The Wind Rivers of Wyoming, out of Pinedale. We will be hanging there again 2nd week of Sept- Lord willing, probably after flying into SLC! WhooHoo! Plus the High Uintahs, plus the Wasatch, plus the Saw Tooths (Idaho), plus the Tetons/Yellowstone! All within 3-6 hours of SLC. It is endless.

So, where are you in Utah? Where ever, I am envious.

Oh Yeah, AZ is also at the top of my list. Pros and cons, both superb. AZ introduced me to the Western outdoors, after 4 years in Phoenix and 2 in Flagstaff!
