Difference between rope and backpack hammock

    Hey slowhike,
First let me say that I appreciate your moderating and interest in all poster posts! You do a great job.
I keep trying to lay on a diagonal on the Pawleys Island and it does not work. For max comfort I prefer our type hammock but for laying in the backyard at a bbq or party on for a short break I go to the PI hammock. My wife can lay with me and my daughter and her friends like to overload it of course. Teens ya' know!
BTW, slept out in hammock last night doing a bit of UQ testing..... slept till 9:00AM. The comfort of hammocks can be detrimental to an early rise & shine

thanks Shug, you're appreciated here too.
and yeah, Ed Speer tells about a customer calling him one late morning from the AT by cell phone, saying that he had a complaint about his new Speer hammock.
seems that he was still in his hammock when he should have started hiking several hours ago!!!

Maybe hammock should carry a warning label:

"Warning: Hammocks may cause extreme laziness and unmotivated behavior."
“Light thinks it travels faster than anything but it is wrong. No matter how fast light travels, it finds the darkness has always got there first, and is waiting for it." -Terry Pratchett
