    Hello From Illinois

    Looking to become a hanger!

    Doing alot of researching to find a good hammock set up
    Tent camped most of my Life (Boy Scouts and Family)

    Just starting to plan my first Long Thru-Hike (River to River Trail)(Shawnee,IL)
    160miles or so hope to complete in 12 Days next year
    I have never done 12 days in a row camping and backpacking so I look forward to this being the start of my thru hike life!


    The AT is still on my bucket list and hope to thru hike it someday so the River to River Trail will be a good primer to many longer journey's until my final GOAL THE AT!

    Hey from GA...I grew up in Illinois (Kankakee). You'll learn a lot here. Back in the day there was not that many good trails in Illinois but it seems that there are more coming on line lately from some of the posts I've seen.

    Hey scottpash .You diffently came to the right place to learn about hammocks im a newby as well but the info on here is sick you can learn so much ,The best part is you can learn from other people mistakes.

    The AT is one of my goals as well. Florida Trail thru-hike is on the agenda within the next 2 years, and then hopefully an AT thru-hike within the next 5.
