Any interest in a weekend of fly fishing in the Smokies in early November? The natives and browns are getting pretty active already. By the beginning of next month, it should be more that way.
I'm probably going to try a trip to the NC side of the park in November 4-6. I just thought I'd check on any interest.

I know a guy who isn't a member but loves hiking, camping, and fly fishing. He doesn't have any equipment but he would love to attend I'm sure. He just learned on a NOLS 2 week backpacking trip... I bet he would jump at the chance if you wouldn't mind him attending.

That could be a challenge for a flyfishing trip. I have all sorts of backpacking gear, but not so much of a surplus on fishing gear.
It's no biggie, he's getting into paddle sports and fly fishing at the same time, so he's collecting paddle gear first. Thanks for the consideration though, and I'll make sure he hits you guys up when he gets some gear together.

They were catching lots of fish on Oct 1st weekend above Cherokee in the creeks and streams..lots were fly fishing and we saw them catching,,so your good to go as the fish are active in the cooling weather. And I checked their weather 2 days ago, so they are getting rain as they got a inch or so in the last 48 hrs..
