I got two packs of these

Nice and simple, different sizes (cus I like being prepared). I use them for attaching the tarp loops to the ridgeline, hanging torches from RLs, all sorts

i use both micro and s biners on my two underquilts, but plan to replace them with soft shackles. rope and knots are lighter and softer!
I know this thread is quite old but since I'm new and found it helpful, I thought I would share three clips that aren't mentioned here. I haven't used any of these yet, but have the Nite Ize Big Ring on order.

I bought a few dozen clones of the Zhong Ning biners from another vendor.. I give them the thumbs up and use them all over my kit. Depending on the use, I have removed the wire bail to make things easier. For instance, I have one with the bail removed spliced at the end of my CRL as a hook. Plenty strong and light and with the bail removed they are more glove friendly.
Yes, my pack weighs 70lbs, but it's all light weight gear....

So for what it's worth, one of these snapped in half last night while in use securing the end of my CRL. Now that I can see the innards of the hook I see they are cast aluminum. I'll continue to use them for key rings and such but not for anything I need to rely on.
