    New guy in AZ

Howdy. New to the hanging scene. I picked up a GT ultralight from amazon and hammock bliss straps. Stoped in REI and grabbed 24' of 6mm rope. Now, I just need to find a place to set it up at.

Looking to learn a lot from here.

Thank you for the welcome. I don't think I'm prepared for an overnight trip to Sedona.

Are there any places in the easy valley that anyone goes to, to hang for a few hours?

Our hangs are pretty low key and a great place to see gear and learn from others, feel free to come if it's something your interested in.

When I need a somewhat local place to hang/test gear for a few hours I usually head up to the verde river. There a quite a few trees up there and even a campsite if your looking to spend the night.

Road, I'm not concerned about low-key. I'm sure every one of you are great people. I just don't have the right equipment to hang without freezing to death in the middle of the night.
