Question for previous customers of HG

Hi guys, I've been wondering if Stormcrow and/or Thorwren sends out an email prior to shipping out underquilts and the like. I've been trying to reach them via email and PM here but as of yet I haven't heard back from them, which is not surprising considering this must be one of their busiest times of the year. Tried calling a few times but I'm getting a "All circuits are busy" message. I ordered a standard 0 degree Incubator on the 22nd so I hope to see it on my doorstop soon. Just was wondering if I would have advance notice of its delivery so I could plan a "sick day" and play some hookey with my new gear. BTW, just went up to Maine for a few days and wow, my little 3-season Phoenix that I got on the For Sale forum worked down to 17 degrees! Can't wait to see how low I can get with the Incubator!

You should get a notice once Stormcrow prints your shipping label from pay pal and ships your quilt. If you don't hear back from them you could always try sending him a PM as well. I know the wait is long and painful but IMHO OOOHH so well worth it. Enjoy the new quilt once it arrives.

Hiking is'ent about waiting for the storm to pass its about learning to hike in the rain.

I ordered 2 weeks ago today, and was told through email that my Incubator will ship tomorrow. If I had to guess they are getting a couple hundred emails + phone calls a day.

Everything I have heard about their quality justifies the wait. However I am VERY anxious to try out the new UQ.

That's weird about their email, because they have answered me both times within like 12 hours.

They are both fantastic to deal with but also fantastically busy. Great gear!

Yep, I have no worries that my quilt won't get here, and I know Adam and Jenny have a reputation for great customer service. Just wondered what the procedure was when it does ship. Sorry if I came across like I thought I wasn't going to get my UQ.

Wouldn't worry, nobody beats these guys for customer service, they just drove drove 11 hours each way for a 5 minute repair on a product for Watermonkey who was on the trail!! No worries, no worries at all.

I've generally had good and prompt replies in the past. As of late, been having a difficult time communicating with them. Ordered, 4 weeks later got a quilt, wrong quilt... email... 5 more weeks then the correct quilt. 9 weeks lapsed from order to arrival. My previous order went much smoother when they were truly a small time operation, but they appear to be suffering growing pains. They seem to be somewhere in between cottage industry and manufacturer. Too small to have a large stock, and employ customer service people; but too big to keep up with the up-swing in communications and production. They will get back to you, don't worry.
