A day in the woods with the little girl

Well I am still healing up from the back surgery but had to spend some time in the woods before I lost my mind. So I packed up some lunch and my little girl and off to the local park we went. Winton Woods here in the Cincinnati area to be exact. I picked an easy trail the King Fisher trail and off we went. It was slow going but after a few I was doing Ok. We crossed little stream and setup for lunch. Hung the new DIY I just finished and fired up the Jetboil. What was on the menu you ask? Well it was the princess’s call on this trip so it was Ramen noodles with string cheese and pepperoni sticks added in. We had fun just swinging in the trees and having lunch. It was a short little get away but much needed. After we packed up and headed home. This little trip makes me long for a real trip I can not wait to heal up so I can get out for a longer trip and hopefully meet up with some of you fine folks from the forum. Well just thought I would share our day. By the way She wanted me to say Hi to Shug. So I from BabyBogg to Shug.

Good luck on your healing, and looks like it was a good time with your daughter. I can't wait for my son to get backpacking age... he's almost 5 months old and I've already got his childhood planned...is that wrong?

Great of you to take BabyBogg out for lunch.

On a side note, I'm looking for a good back surgeon. Can you PM me who you went to and your opinions?

BigBogg, looks like a good day with Babybogg. Yes, there are times when one simply must get in the woods. I had back surgery a couple of years ago. hope that you heal well and are able to enjoy many more trips in the woods--the hammock will certainly help.

My daughter has been napping in a hammock since she was born. She is almost 6 and still loves it! Love the report. Makes me want to take my daughter out and camp!

Father daughter time is precious. I still remember many wonderful times with my father. He is gone now, but the memories will be with me forever. Continue to make more of those memories for your little girl.
